We are spring cleaning around here and my daughters are being pretty brutal with me. They are making me throw things away! I have kept ALL of their Barbie stuff (for future granddaughters!). They both insisted that I donate them to the local shelter for kids, LOL So they will be going, a lot of clothes are going and they are planning a yard sale next week. I have to confess I am glad to be rid of the stuff. It was just too overwhelming for me to tackle alone.

I have been working on the "purge" for a couple years now. I gotta say... I am so happy to have stuff GONE ! I still have a couple areas to do.. and then there is my kitchen stuff EGADS !! I could stock a restaurant ! I just redid the old computer room and turned it back into a bedroom. All chocolate brown and seafoam greenish/blue. It is so peaceful and relaxing, I go in there and just sit and breath.

Good luck with the garage sale... you might make enough to fund your trip :-D

You two are giving me the incentive......time to get busy. I have been slaking off since we pretty much put moving on hold. I don't think Rob could deal with a new place now , he has just been to poor lately.

I can't believe how much he has failed in the last few months, it breaks my heart. One minute i am ready to scream, and the next i look over at him and just want to cry . As hard as this is I really can't imagine life without him after 48 yrs!!!!!!

Judy love you color scheme, it does sound so restful and just perfect. I ust did one of the bathrooms in seafoam green and LOVE it. I also have introduced choclate brown in my living room which was mostly white and beige! BROWN has become very big lately.

OK ladies you have convined me to start throwing and cleaning!!!

Deb you are making me feel guilty. My New Years resolution was to go through each room and start clearing out everything that needs to go. Started with the upstairs closets and got rid of a lot of clothing but still have a long way to go. I actually did go upstairs after reading your post and cleaned a lot of stuff out of the one bedroom.....got all the clothes that were lying on the bed back on hangers and hung up or put in a bag to go to the Goodwill. Also got quite a bit of paperwork and old magazines tossed as well. At least it is a step in the right direction.

Why is it so easy to accumulate things over the years? Delighted you had help in giving you a nudge. i surely could use one. The casserole dishes alone could handle the contents of a large pot luck supper. I guess I just like casseroles.

Good luck with the yard sale. It is a great time of year for one.

I have actually been working on purging also. It feels so good to actually get rid of some stuff and make more room in the closets and drawers.
