We haven't heard from his family since the fiasco before Christmas, not a word. I find that I am relieved not disappointed. Kind of funny all that fuss about 'how much we love him' but when push comes to shove they disappear.

They are trouble makers. Keep your distance and flex your
muscles if they call or show up.

We have enough heartache and troubles to deal with.. without including a bunch of morons.

Your Right, but I couldn't let that worry me for I would get upset and then He my partner would feal hurt,...So I just said someday it's best toforget about it. Try and get new friends on line, We Care, We Understand and change the WiLL. I know I can sleep at night and I know it's wrong but I wish them Many sleepless Nights.

Deb, His kids are morons and the day may come when they wish they'd cared enough to spend time with their dad, real time but don't hold your breath on that one either. If they haven't shown real love by now it's not likely to happen.
On the other hand give some serious thanks that you don't have to put up with them and their drama, I'd think you've had enough of that by now. Does he ask for them? If not just keep going like they don't exist.

Chuck , it sounds like your partner was very lucky to have you.
You are right ,sometimes as hard as it is you just have to let it go.

Ken hasn't heard from his youngest daughter in almost 9 months, not even a call to see how he's doing. I want to go over a slap her but the sad part is now he doesn't even know he has a daughter.I used to worry about it but he is blessed with a lot of other family who does take the time to let him know how much he is loved.

When Jim was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 6 years ago, the family said, "Oh, we will help in anyway we possibly can." Now, we see no one except sons and family. Two brothers live in our neighborhood and drive by looking straight ahead, as if they didn't look our way, we wouldn't see them. lol

I get an occasional call asking about him, but they only seem to want to hear the worst things, such as, "do you have to put diapers on him," or "does he still feed himself." No one asks if they can come and sit with him for awhile so I can do the grocery shopping or just have an hour to two to myself.

But we seem to be surviving despite their not caring.

Hang in there, things will surely get better for all of us.
