I FELT THAT WAY LAST YEAR, JUST COULD NOT GET INTO ANY OF THE HOLIDAY FEELINGS AND DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING...EVERY LITTLE BIT WAS A REAL STRUGGLE BUT WINTER (MY DAUGHTER) AND I WANTED TO TRY TO MAKE IT THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER BECAUSE WE WERE NOT SURE HOW NEAL WOULD BE DOING BY NOW, WE REALLY, REALLY DID NOT EXPECT HIM TO BE DOING AS WELL AS HE IS.
THIS YEAR IT IS LIKE A TOTAL REVERSAL, I GOT MY DECORATING UP EARLY AND JUST KEEP ADDING TO IT, I'VE BEEN ON A CLEANING BINGE THAT WONT' STOP AND I'M REALLY ENJOYING THE WHOLE THING...I THINK SOMEWHERE INSIDE I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT CHRISTMAS/SOLSTICE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOLIDAYS AND I LOVE ALL THE STUFF, THE DECORATIONS, THE MUSIC, THE FOOD, JUST EVERYTHING AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE THAT, AND I WON'T LET THIS DAMHN DISEASE TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME.

I have tried but can't think of a cheery to help you, so I'll put you in my prayers.

The Kids and Grands will be here Christmas Eve. We will have a chili supper and snacks. It is pretty casual.
I did a lot of cleaning earlier in the week... so am more or less ready.
My biggest fear is that Ron will give us a "present' during the get together. But .. if it happens I will just have to handle it.

My biggest problems seems to be fatigue . I am very tired today.
My spirits are OK.. Not over the moon.. just OK.

I am trying to appreciate this Christmas season with Ron at home and that I am still able to handle things... next year may be a way
different thing.

Wow!, hard one. I go back and forth. Some days I am pretty excited and then others I am really down in the dumps. Our lives are all so unpredictable that I think we always feel a little trepidation and that takes away from us really being able to enjoy ourselves. I am trying very hard not to let this awful disease spoil my life. I think as soon as the grandchildren are around I will feel much better. They help me forget what my life is really like and how it is most likely going to get. You know, though, there are so many people that are struggling with one thing or another this year that I am trying very hard to quit feeling sorry for myself and trying to make someone else's holiday better. Let's think about each other this holiday season. I send my love to you. Again, I am reminded, "It will never be easy, just worth it."

Trying hard to get the Christmas spirit, but am not quite able. Between his Alzheimer's that is getting worse and quiet times increasing and my Chem. Sensitivites making me live in isolation on Dr. orders it is hard to summon up a Ho Ho Ho until I think of all the support this group has given me-- Then I can even sing! Thankful for for my friends. They make all the difference!

I am expecting a quiet Christmas here with just Neal and Winter and I and I'm praying that our sick relatives (two in the hospital in critical condition and their recovery is not guarenteed) do well and are able to come home by the New Year.
