i am sorry it's my mother-in-law

My husband had trouble with the starter pack. Sleeping a lot more , but very dizzy. Had to hold on to things to walk. We had to take him off for awhile. Now the Dr is starting him back on it, but at a much slower rate of the increases. Actually twice the slower rate of each increase. I hope it works better this time. He was only on it for 2 weeks, but I think there was a slight improvement in his memory. He was remembering some names. Did you call her dr and report the problem?

my husband did not get sleepy on Namenda but it did give us 6 extra good months.

THANK YOU GUYS..YES WE CALLED THE DR. THEY SAID GIVE HER HALF IN THE AM AND HALF AT NIGHT..SO I DID AND SHE NAPPED FOR 2 HOURS SO SHES BEEN UP ALDAY SHE ALOT BETTER TODAY..THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH..IT HARD TO SEE HER GO THOUGH THIS...

My husband was just started on the Namenda. I thought there was another reason he was staying in bed till after I left the house in the mornings. He sleeps in a bit but does not seem to be sleeping all day. I am happy to know that it may give us some extra time with him having some memory. Our Neurologist is adding Aricept after the starter month of Namenda. Can anyone tell me about that?

My husband has been on Aricept for about 3 yrs, and is starting on Namenda now, plus the Aricept. We had a very difficult time to get him to give up driving, but now I think he is feeling a little more alert and wants to drive. He would get lost,if he did, and also get confused ar intersections, etc . He seem to be remembering names a little better, so it think it is helping. The Dr. Said to call him if he gets irritable from the med. He is giving me trouble about driving, so I don't know if this is result of the meds or just a coincidence. Was very cooperative before.
