My husband has been pacing and crying all day because of my SIL, he found me crying because I would not have told him what she said. He can't seem to settle down, I've already given him a xanex. He has left her many messages to call him and she hasn't- well, duh, she knows she's done wrong. He can't remember where the bathroom is but is really remembering how hurtful she is.
I'm hugging, holding his hand, talking to him and just hoping he forgets this soon.

You have enough without the hurtful family member. It is wonderful he has you to console him and hold his hand. Those of us sharing the caregiving are here mentally holding yours.
