The neighbor story is sad and lovely at the same time...goes right down to your toes....

The next day we were at church and he saw her come in and he turned to me with a big smile and said "Sherri's here!" Of course I am Sherri............BUT ..I think I may have figured out that since he really lives more in the past perhaps he see's my daughter (who looks much like I did) as me and he doesn't recognize me half the time since I am 67 now and of course look older!!
He also told me last week that I reminded him of his wife, and he didn't know where she had gone.
I think he remembers me better as I was not as I am. Interesting that could be the case with many of us when our spouse doesn't recognize us.
