first time for everything

Well, today was the first time that I had to take him in to the ladies room with me. He went in to the Men's but came out quickly and said there was something wrong with his pants. So in the Ladies Room I realized what he was doing, he was pulling his pants up instead of down and wondering why they weren't coming off. He seemed a little concerned about going into the bathroom with me but then got over it. It was really weird to have people watch us go in to the Ladies Room together, I hope they out 2 and 2 together. LOL

You have such a good sense of humor over things. You might get a few looks but just let someone say something. I have my mother who needs help once we are in the restroom and even those conversations (me helping her) get a few looks but I'm more concerned with her than them and don't care.

I carry business sized cards stating my mom has Alzheimer but never thought maybe some day I'll need a sign for in the restroom? lol.

A gal in my face to face support group takes her husband in the ladies room. She said she has had a few surprised and occasionally annoyed looks. She uses the handicapped stall because it is bigger and room for two.

Tonight Ron put his socks on by himself. He put them both on the same foot :-D I asked if that looked right and he didn't acknowledge
anything. I just changed it... gettin on with gettin on.

Most of the newer bathrooms up here are for either sex, whoever gets there first wins and so couples using them together is not really noticed. Some stores even have family bathrooms for the whole crew.
thank god Neal still knows when he needs to use the toilet, don't always make it in time but he still knows where he wants to go and why.

There are more and more places that have family bathrooms, which is nice. Target is one.

i know how it is my soon to be mother in-law when i take her to the bathroom i have to pull her pants all the way down i even have to take them all the way off cause a couple of times she was putting her pants in her mouth so now when she goes i take them all the way off

This is all so crazy! Did any of you ever in a million years think that you would be on a discussion board talking about going to the bathroom? It is a good thing that most of the time we all have a good sense of humor.

I happened to be at the court house and my husband had to go so I asked the sheriff, "What are we supposed to do? I don't want to offend people." he said that it is best for a female care taker to take a male patient into the men's room. Rather then take a male into the female room. He said, men are less likely to get upset about this arrangement then the other way around. He said, "just open the door a bit and ask, is anyone in here?" then go in.
