His spirit will be released from this prison soon. God be with you and comfort you. We are all holding you tightly in our prayers

His breathing is fast and shallow and his brow was furrowed, which means that he was feeling discomfort so the nurse told me to give a dose of morphine, a dose of atropine and put the oxygen mask on him.

He released another diaper load of fluids that are light brown and VERY foul smelling. His eyes are closed today and his hands and body are quite warm. The Hospice nurse thinks it is close.

I'm glad hospice is there. Are they coming several times a day ?

Nope they just come every other day, don't know why but that is all the va has authorized

How awful that they don't come everyday, He's a veteran for petes sake, this makes me so angry, he fought for his country and this is the thanks he gets.
At least he has an awesome wife.

Deborah,if Hospice is not coming everyday,do you have someone with you for help and support? I mean besides us.

Fortunately, I have my momand my 3 adult children I also a few friends who have been coming by too

I am so glad that your family is with you.A bedside vigil is physically and emotionally exhausting.Especially when it goes on day after day.You and Rollie remain in my prayers.

I just have to ask you,is Rollie normally strong willed and determined?Bless his heart................Cheryl

The vigil is so very hard but will mean a so much to you later.
