For the past few weeks I have been spending 24 hours with some friends at their home. My son and daughter cover the home front and my son sleeps in the room with Rollie. I leave Monday afternoon and come home Tuesday afternoon. I sleep in at their place place or stay in bed until noon if I want reading. They are very good to me. It has been very healing. I come home refreshed.

Today my son had to change, clean and wash Rollie 2 times due to poop. He even changed the sheets! I am very lucky, my kids are wonderful.

Oh that is great... glad you get your 24 hours per week. Wonderful

Your kids sound wonderful, we should all be so lucky.

That is such a good idea and wonder if my hubbys siblings would go for something like that probably not as they do not want to drive down here for anything they say gas is to expensive. You do have wonderful kids and I cant even imagine my own kids doing something like that for me.

I bet that does re-charge your batteries and it also gives the kids time with their dad and that is also a good thing. I am sure they have a more level of respect and admiration for you after just doing it for that bit when you do it the rest by yourself.

OK..now I understand your great "up" attitude lately that I mentioned in a prior post! That is terrific...Hooray for your kids. What a great idea and what a refresher for you. Thats wonderful , well deserved. Hugs Sher

We always try to do this for each other around here. Thursday into Friday is mine this week. Most of the time it's just a day away and then back for dinner but even that helps us all out. I usually get nights off though cause I'm with him the most during the days.
