I have lost my temper a few times even though I really don't think it is deliberate. It is just so much work.
He recently has started some physical therapy and seeing a chiropractor and even though he is paraplegic, it seems to have helped him to sense when he has to move his bowels. I also limit him to two pieces of fruit a day and not too much chocolate or he gets diarrhea.
We certainly do have challenging lives.......hugs and prayers and hopes for a better day tomorrow......Jeanmarie
My sister in-law takes 2 fiber capsules and 2 immodium every morning just to keep her on an even keel after having a colostomy reversed. she always had diahhrea. I myself go 4-5 times every morning. If more than that, I take 1/2 immodium and it stops. i can't eat fruit and I suspected chocolate too. salad is a killer for me. Isn't life grand!!??
I go see her at the home 2 times a day and I make her go to the bathroom. Today she was just sitting there I had to help her that is so discussing! She seem to forget that she has to push! The things we have to go! I can't count on the aid to do it, they just change her when they feel like it.
