I am very glad to see this research as it continues to imply that neurodegenerative diseases may have microbial causes and that they might be arrested with existing medications if applied correctly - even those microbes that might have developed resistance to nature's amazing defenses against them like the ones described here.

The last one might be the most cheerful since it includes this:
"The Cure Alzheimers Fund is starting a large collaborative project that will use gene sequencing technology to carefully look for microbes in brains from people who had Alzheimers and those who did not. Researchers will also look for microbes in plaques found in human brains."
I am SO glad if that is a sign that people are starting to take this possibility seriously.
