I think my husband has lost a bit more. For the past few days he will be right next to me (isn't he always?) and then he will go look for me. He can be siting right beside me, get up, cross the room and ask one of the kids, "Have you seen, Mom?" He will walk right by me and call for me. It seems like if he can't see my face full front, right on then he doesn't see me at all. I first noticed it in the car. When I am driving and I have my sunglasses on he will ask if I know where his wife is. Then when I take my sun glasses off and I look him right in the face, he pauses and I see a light go on, 'Oh, you're right here!" If I have my back to him or even sitting next to him and all he can see is my profile he doesn't seem to 'see' me.

Ken does the same thing I'll be sitting on a chair next to him and he'll "where is she. "

Getting him to bed is the same I have certain words I use or he won't do it.I haven't run across the naked thing yet.

To the VA Doc today mental evaluation. Maybe I should get check also !

Yes, get yourself checked. My mom and kids bug me to make sure I take care of myself, get regular check ups, etc so I'm bugging you, LOL

I'm afraid if the doctor were to spend too much time with me, he would have me committed. I feel like I have gone completely "stir fried".

Well if they are going to start evaluating OUR mental health all I can say is I want us all in the same facility so we can be crazy together.

Be sure and let me know where you go. I have a while to go before I'm in your shoes. Mom still pees in the toilet, knows who I am and gets herself to bed. She's 89 with stage 5. I don't know which fraility comes first..... her age or dementia.

Tonight we went to a Mongolian BBQ place near the school and he was having trouble figuring out how to use his fork. :( I have been having to cut up his food into small pieces, it seems like he just can't manage a knife and fork together. Now even a fork by itself. Sigh.

My Mom has been doing that for awhile. I try to sit facing her, that helps but sometimes I have to get right in her face and say "I am here." She will say Oh and smile.
She is now where she can't use a spoon. She turns it upside down before it gets to her mouth. We give her finger foods or feed her if she will let us. If it is sweet she will let us :)
