she was to come a couple weeks ago and visit with him while I took the neighbor lady to dinner, She cancelled at the last minute. Monday she called and wanted to know if she could come with her daughter and her two kids and two other kids!!! My hubby told her no, he couldn't take the chaos but that they could come one family at a time and he would like that. So she was going to come last night.....you guessed it...she called and cancelled AGAIN!! I quit worrying about her or what she thinks because it is obvious she doesn't care. She will be making the most noise at the funeral home---I'll take bets on it.
You are both doing the right thing...we have enough on our hands, let them make the effort if they are truly interested --otherwise...

A distant relative asked me after Ron died why I didn't let them know he was near the end. . I just said " Well, I emailed everyone Ron was in Hospice care". I guess I assumed everyone knew what
that meant. After all.. you don't go to hospice to get well. UGH ! People !
