Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

It really all depends on the person and their reaction to alcohol and circumstances, but it is my opinion you are in no real danger from withdrawal except at this point, being very uncomfortable.
However, how long have you been drinking six beers and two vodka rock stars five to six times a week?
If you have other problems, and taking medication for other problems, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some kind of medical advice. Everybody is different.
I feel uncomfortable telling you what might be right for you. Just telling you what my situation was in the past. The third day was the hardest for me. Even though I felt better mentally, I started feeling the physical effects of withdrawal on the third day.
I felt it before the third day, but became very bothersome on the third day.
As Egwene noted alcohol is a depressant. It was my experience that talking with a doctor that specializes in substance abuse and mental health issues that can prescribe medication worked best for me.
