Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I think I would talk to the work force services for more information. Best to get all the information available so you can make the best possible choices.
One door closes....another opens
Pray, whisper or talk to your HP

The Horizon Blue Cross has denied payment on a CT scan after I already got the CT scan ...
Like I said, when it rains, it pours. I'm not just out of a job -- I am now going to be billed for a CT scan while I am unemployed.
It was a tough day -- I didn't want to drink so much as I wanted to kill people who work for insurance companies (I guess that's progress???)
It's hard to pray for these people when they are nameless faceless bureaucrats who make money off of other people's suffering.
As for my former employer, thoughts of a shotgun and Arnie busting down doors comes to mind.
I guess what I really wanted to say was that I am having a day from HELL.
And, of course life does that sometimes -- because it is a monstrous and hideous beast that rewards us with old age and quick death, if we are lucky. And despite this, we seem to be able to find joy, even rapturous joy, in a sunset, a kiss, a child's laughter.
It makes me wonder, what part of us is tuned into something spiritual below the surface of what, by all appearances, is a cold and unforgiving universe.
This is a good day to be sober. How do I know I have my shoulder against the wheel when things are going "my" way? I can only see the fruit of actions taken when things are decidedly not going "my" way.
At some point I will start to pray for the former boss and the weenies at the insurance company -- but today I breath fire and spit lava -- it's the best I can manage.
Some days that seems its the best we can do.
PEACE
Pray it turns around...
Hugs,
Dennis
