Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

For me, the spiritual solution to drinking and life problems, the steps, the people really truly caring and growing, the commaradarie and laughter, the feeling of belonging, being of service, the hope I get from others, the feeling of purpose for being able to pass something onto others, the learning, the friendships, the recover, sobriety, learning to listen and share, opening up, building self confidence by participating and serving, learning to laugh at myself and accept my imperfection, feeling part of the human race, the love...

That I always felt out of place and like I never fit in anyplace, until I walked into AA. Then I met people like me who understood me for the first time in my life. There are lot's of things I am coming to like but that is the big one for me right now

Feeling accepted no matter what has happended. The love of another person regardless of them knowing you. It took me a long time to understand that. When I do not go to meetings I realize what I am missing.

At first it was the hope of something better that inspired me and kept me coming back. Now that those hopes are being realized its the growth process that sends me back. I'll never stop growing and learning and each meeting is a chance to grow and learn a little more.

They love you until you can love yourself... and that's the truth. I could never have done it without my AA family, and they truly are a great big, wonderful family :)

I'm really fond of the no puking part and besides where else can you get a cup of coffee, a cookie or roll and be entertained for an hour all for a buck.
