Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

for a group discussion, I'm wondering what new hobby, passion or activity you've started since finding sobriety? It could be anything.
mine is remote tent camping. last year I camped in 20 different U.S. National Forests in eight western states and loved reconnecting with nature and seeing parts of this beautiful country for the first time. as spring weather approaches, I'm anxious to hit the trail again. so much for me, how about you?
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

in sobriety when I came home from Guam at four years sober I bought a bird dog and sent him to bird dog school at a hunting club....I also got a second bird dog that did not need to go to school she was a rescue Vizsla that was already hunting with its former owner....
so in sobriety I re-visited my days as a bird hunter and I did a few years of hunting out there in woods and fields....I even leased hunting land at $1000 yr to hunt land that I did not own...
I wanted to find out more about what was going on, so I began reading every spiritual book I could find. I read the acim texts and did the lessons, and read many books connected to it, such as Disappearance of the Universe, Absense fro Felicity, and all of Tina Spaulding's books.....I've also read most of the Emanual books and the books of Dolorus Cannon and I meditate as often as I have time for.
~~~Peace~~~
Enjoy your hikes!!! I’ve been in the high Sierras and Cascades and the redwood forests along the coast. Love the west but am partial to the ancient energy of the Appalachians.
