Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
For my first anniversary, one of my AA friends wrote out 'Footprints' and I love that.

I do the work, HP does the worrying :)
Peace!
As to taking certain actions and "I am going thru some difficult stuff as a result of the right decision", I very much relate. For it is about taking assertive action or imposing boudaries. I know how to do those things and I get the job doen, but have a Whack! of a downer afterwards as the fear creeps in and the wear and tear on the emotions kicks in.
And good on you for it not making you feel like a drink.
Yay, no more white knuckling sobriety!
What is really cool is that you have no desire to drink today. That is frickin awesome! Happy Dance time!
Anyway, I'm trying to get through the steps slowly and spiritually.
Sounds like you are well on teh way! Good stuff.
I'm so happy for you ...
I stayed clean ( Rx drugs & ALCOHOL ) for
1 1/2 years & most of that time I was fighting
everything, & was positively miserable.
When I quit fighting & let go, and did the things your
doing ... a weight like no other was lifted from me.
NO MORE WHITE KNUCKLING SOBRIETY since !
( 2 1/2 yrs. more clean time & NO W.K. S. ! )
Keep it up,
CONGRATULATIONS !
It's so much nicer like this.

Whenever I start to feel that I'm trying to be director again (and I do!) it's like a lightning bolt when I stop and say "what the HELL are you doing??!! YOU have no control!!!!!".
Yes, everything will work out, you keep focused & positive sweet potata and you will be just fine & dandy. :) Love ya!
