can anyone relate?

haha! Didn't use those exact words but many times I said "I'm not like them" after my week in detox. But that's okay, I think that it was necessary for me to learn that I am "them". :)

Wasn't that I was better cause I had NEVER drank mouthwash for God's sakes! But the key word that I learned was "YET".

Why? The world is made up of so many colors, the only thing we have in common is alcoholism and it's related set of behavoirs....even those aren't the same for everyone.

Back to my conundrum of a smiling bobbleheaded person who accepts, many times with no concept of boundaries.

Today, as a sober alchy, I celebrate the differences my HP gave me care over.
I don't relate to all ppl I have seen at meetings......perhaps cause we are different

I was so beat down by the time I stopped that I knew I was no different. I was just glad I wasn't alone. That there were other people who had done the same or worse things than me and they were leading happy, productive lives! Those are the folks I stuck to like glue!
