Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I'm not in AA but I think it makes a great point. If I am going to maintain my sobriety I need to take care of myself and do what I need to to make sure I don't drink.
Nearly every time, the first thing out of their mouths would be "I stopped going to meetings".
It helped me to get up and go to a meeting, especially when I didn't want to.
I had to laugh when my mom asked me 'so, do they think you're going to keep going to those meetings much longer?' I just told her as long as I feel the meetings are helping me, I'll keep going...not sure what 'they' think : )
If only a member can understand the secrets to sobriety, that's a club I don't want to belong to.
I go to meetings because I easily forget that I am a drunk; I get all well, and then I think, "One lilla ol drink won't hurt". I have no desire to do that, today.
