Unity Prayer
I put my hand in yours and together we can do what we could never do alone.
No longer is there a sense of hopelessness.
No longer must we depend upon our own unsteady willpower.
We are all together now, reaching out for power and strength greater than ours.
And as we join together, We find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams.

Saturday morning here in OZ and as I was reading some material I have. I found this prayer. It helps me see how far I have come in recovery.
When I was drinking I had no unity in my life. I hated the world and trusted no one which can lead to a very lonely existence. But that all started to change when I ended up in rehab in September 1991.
I found a lost tribe these were people who understood all about me and I them. And it was the love from one alcoholic to another alcoholic that allowed me to start pulling down this invisible wall I had built around me. Brick by brick
I was able to let people into my space for the first time. Before that I wouldnt let people get within a metre to me it was fight or flight not even my own family unless I was drunk but then I was unpredictable.
But has it says when I put my hand in yours and together we can do what we could never do alone.
When I allowed other alcoholics in to my life I was able to take the unconditional love they gave me back to my family. And for the first time when my wife needed a cuddle I was able to respond and not be as stiff as a telegraph pole and when out shopping I could hold her hand even if it was only for a short time .Letting people into my space I wonder if any one can relate to that.
Anyway I will leave it here starting to turn into a novel.
Great little prayer.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
