Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Their opinion of themselves is hilarious to me.
I wasn't going to bite on that other thread. People like that are a waste and I won't toss pearls before swine.
DailyStrength has no religious affiliation. However, we believe that religion can play an important role in helping people overcome their challenges. Members must respect other members' differing religious beliefs, and do not assume that other Members subscribe (or want to subscribe) to yours.
Here are 3 things we ask you not to do:
a. Impose your beliefs on others. Example: Telling members of our Gay & Lesbian communities that they are "sinners" is not appropriate.
b. Disrespect someone else's religion.
c. Spamming (aka "sending unsolicited messages") to members about religion. Repeatedly posting religious passages (or anything else, for that matter) around the site is not appropriate.
Delete away~!!!

I'm all good-
You?
I got extra Gods and will share

I have to say that the statement "People like that are a waste....." does not attract me to your form of spirituality whatever that may be.
No point in any beliefs unless they are actually translated into spiritual attitudes and behaviour.
While religion CAN be helpful to perhaps MOST it can also be a stumbling block to others dealing with alcohol. I thought most of the discussion was actually pretty cordial and no personal attacks made. I'm very disappointed that you closed the thread. # 6 did not appear to be violated to me.....he was NOT trying to impose his beliefs on ANYONE! I know its your call but I don't think it a good one...IMO...oops sorry just injected personal opinion.
uhhhmmm isn't it ALL PERSONAL OPINION?????
I respect SDALots right to his belief there is no God, and as others asked him, for him to respect theirs. I didn't see him disrespecting any religion, unless you consider AA a religion, and I don't. Maybe I missed some religious abuse in the replies??
We get in more heated arguments about AA on a daily basis on this forum, and the thread in question did not come close to this. From what I could see, most of the replies were simply an expression of other peoples opinion and honest disagreement.
