good for you !! I went to inpatient for 30 days. I learned a lot & they had to cook for me, and make sure I stayed 1/2 way sane...LOL

It will not be bad, and be thankful for the insurance & time off. Sometimes God does for us what we can not do for ourselves...

Thank you so much, I think it will be a good thing. I'm just kind of in shock right now. I know I do have alot of things to thankful for, and I'm sure this will be a good thing in the end. The process is just somewhat intimidating I guess. Thank you for your support.

treatment was a wonderful experience. so wonderful i did it 3 times! seriously, i did but only because i wasn't committed to staying sober. my time there was not wasted as i took away many tools that i used later to get back into recovery. i remember when i got there i could finally breathe. whew! what a relief. and people actually cared about what i wanted to say. the best part of it all was i saw so clearly that i was not alone. this is but a first chapter to a whole new life...

You have access to one of the best facilities in the country and your insurance is paying for it, that's an enormous blessing. I think it's a good idea with your anxiety and depression to have a controlled environment and community to help you. It's wonderful that you had the courage to get an assessment on your own. You'll do just great, I'm sure of it.

Go for treatment. If I had it to do over again, I'd do treatment. Sundown M. Ranch in Yakima has a good rep here in Washington.

I'm thankful for the opportunity, but I guess I'm still trying to absorb that I need this level of care. I can go to hazelden, I live in MN and that's the best place around, so I'm thankful for that...

I too was shocked when inpatient treatment was suggested for me.It really hit my ego hard.The nerve of someone to suggest that I was that bad-humph-what do they know?As it turned out they were right,I finally did give up and go away for 90 days.But not until I had managed to lose everything I thought I was staying out of treatment to keep.As it turned out,those 90 days were the best thing that ever happened to me.It literally saved my life.Don't blow it off,think about it real hard.If you do decide to go,grab onto it and make the very most of it.

inpatient is great, do it. You're disease wont want you too, but do it anyways.

Thanks everyone for responding. I spoke to Hazelden and I'll be going there on Saturday. I am thankful for the opportunity and that insurance is covering it. Now that I've had a chance to absorb it I'm glad I'm going. I'm sure I'll be posting more once I'm back home and trying to maintain sobriety.
