Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Hugs,
Dennis
Keeping busy and eating to fullness -- two good strategies for getting through a tough time. Great job!

I know how tough it is in the early days of abstinence. I too was plagued with the mental obsession for alcohol and did the very best I could to stay away from the stuff by changing certain behaviours, routines, keeping busy and going to lots of AA meetings to find a sponsor (recovered helper) to guide me through the 12 Steps. I had to keep all my thinking in the day or even hour when necessary. I got many encouragements and advice at meetings.
I was so glad when I went through the programme with my sponsor - it took away the desire to drink and finally I felt like a brand new person with a zest for life!
Best wishes to you.
