that even casual reference to spiritual things
make us bristle with antagonism.
This sort of thinking had to be abandoned.
Though some of us resisted,
we found no great difficulty in casting aside such feelings.
Faced with alcoholic destruction,
we soon became as open minded on spiritual matters
as we had tried to be on other questions.
In this respect alcohol was a great persuader.
It finally beat us into a state of reasonableness.
Sometimes this was a tedious process;
we hope no one else will prejudiced for as long as
some of us were."

I have a HP and respect you in your ways of seeking or obeying your own HP....for me I always hear that this person gets on his or her knees in the morning and evening and I go oh yeah right...I believe some of these people do that...but I also believe there are a lot of people who lie in AA and say they do what they would like to be doing but really do irregularly....Me I do not pray morning and evening every day....there are days where I do but it is really rare for me to get on my knees...because I do not believe I need to be on my knees to talk to my HP....but then there are times I think I have been praying about something and I have been justifying my own beliefs in that area or concept or idea....

I by all means fall short of a solid spiritual life.,...and I believe I am improving which is what the BB says I need to do...improve my spiritual condition....for if I fail to improve my spiritual condition I am doomed to drink again as there will come a time when nothing I can do will keep me from that first drink and that is when I need the HP to be there with me along side to remove the drink from my lip before it gets there....over the gums and down the hatch and I am drunk again in a matter of time....with prayer improvements I am asking for HP to help me.....\
