Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

PEACE,MARK
Anyway the point is mute without the link, but it's a very good article. HOW much you can drink may be effected by how much you smoke and VICE VERSA! That doesn't sound like an outside issue to me. In other words tobacco is part of our drug taking ritual with alcohol, just like it's part of the drug taking ritual for heroin. They trigger each other!
People, places and things!
I did sometimes smoke more when I was drunk but that wasn't to do with alcoholism it is to do with the affects of being drunk. I feel sorry for the people who spent time and money bothering to research to find that out - if you go up to anyone who drinks and smokes they will tell you they know it already.

Now lets all go outside and grab a smoke while we read it.... heehee..
cocoa leaves........piotie...... "shrooms"
who denigrated them? stripping them from them
the spiritual intended purpose and extending ti t to ones to a selfish high? there is a difference.
i see it everyday it the "political" justification
Donttread, I found when I smoked I guzzled twice as fast. It was a ritualistic habit for sure. I did find giving up smoking a hell of a lot easier than giving up drinking though. Happened for me a year into sobriety. You know those awful ads on TV where they carve up body parts and show the effects (yuk). Well, it just gave me a reminder it was smoko break out the backyard.
But my daughter cottoned onto it, and after an Ad came on, she said to me "Mum, I don't want you to die". Never smoked again DT. And I'm not going to rationalise why. The difference between smoking and not smoking was pretty amazing in the weeks following. The breathing, taste, smell, fitness. Just felt even more alive.
