Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Sometimes I have found that I need to pray to be willing to be willing. To open my heart enough to be willing to do God's will, not mine. So much easier said than done, but for me, essential for my sobriety.
Peace,
Karen
I think once we really start to accept things then we do become more willing to let God in and work according to His will.
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

I had to become HONEST firstly with myself if I couldn't do that how could I be honest with others.
I was told to keep an OPEN MIND to listen to others someone may just say that one thing that could change the trust of my thinking .which happened many times. But before I became willing to listen I would leave AA meetings and not remember anything that was said.
And that I had to become WILLING to go to any lengths to maintain my sobriety. i had to take action to go to AA meetings even when I didn't want to be there Willing to do the suggested things get a sponsor get a home group take my vitamin B start to put the steps into my life.
And I believe it was when I was doing step 3 I started to find that serenity you talked about.
Step 3: "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we understood Him" .
My WILL was my thinking my LIFE my actions. For me God didn't take all my thinking and actions away he took care of them that way I could live in the NOW and there was a great weight lifted from me
Before there was no way to live in the now i was to busy worrying about my past and future.
Enjoy the serenity .
God Bless...
