Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Thing is, I too got "cured" by the pill and hated AA at an early attempt at quitting. I was too self reliant and that was my eventual downfall. Of course I drank again because when I stopped taking the pills the disease was still in me. I finally got so bad that I had to stumble in a room and was at the point where I would do anything. See, I could quit , I just couldnt stay quit. I was a self confident a hole that went thru life
cutting down other trees to make mine look taller.
Today I have mellowed and just dont like controversy. It is a process, and I wish ALL that want to get better to do so, but dont think that pills and moderation EVER would have worked for this alchy. I would still be a resentful a hole that had issues with the way others choose to get sober. I think that I could go so far to say that I would be jealous of others fellowship and camaraderie, if I hadnt found a room..
God bless all in recovery

It is just sad that people will bash one group to try and benefit the one they like better.
If AA did not work for me I would have tried every possible program. But AA worked for me. I 100% support all programs too.
