went to Florida and had a good time. There were a couple of times when the “glamor” was a bit uncomfortable. The tight dockside bar with the loud music and the table next to us ordering shots, but I can remember the last time I was at the beach and drinking,... I got kicked out of a place for splashing beer on a bouncer... I can also remember that time with my wife and her family when everybody else went to bed but I stayed up drinking wine. I broke a glass in the sink and can remember feeling so horrible ( like something was broken inside me ) driving home the next day. Luckily I have these memories to keep me off the booze, because it would have been so easy. The lights and music are just an illusion. I’m an alcoholic and would be drunk in no time and making an as out of myself.
Sober is good. Today driving back, I was thinking I was glad I didn’t drink and start the craving all over again, that sh sux. Today I try to see the positives and don’t dwell on what I’m missing. That is a big difference this time. Focus...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
