Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

from this all sorts of wonderful spiritual growth has occured and continues to enlighten me a little at a time.
But after enlightenment; there's still laundry to do!

Even with me being powereless over alcohol and my life becoming unmanageable, I absolutely knew this was a truth for me. But I wasn't ready. I needed just a little more pain I suppose. I don't know why the evening I decided to call someone was different from a hundred others when I vowed to stop.
I'm just grateful that they were and brought me back to my God, the rooms, a sponsor and the steps.
I have not been sleeping well, so pardon me if it doesn't make sense!

I had relapsed after being sober for six and a half years, and stayed drunk for the next seven years..maybe I just wasn't ready the first time around.
Unfortunately the disease dosent care if I lose more, as I did the second time around..I've accepted it, and I have to move on..
