Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

My 14 year sobriety anniversary was on the 29th and it was a great day even in the midst of the most difficult task of my sobriety, caring for my mom in her last days of her life. My mom has 25 years and we sat on her bed, (or I sat and she lied there) and enjoyed a Sprinkles cupcake together in honor of my day marking 14 years of a positive past one day at a time. When I left her room, I wept with the knowledge that would be the last time we celebrate sobriety on earth together...and that is the most precious gift I have today...life, a sober life...with everything that goes with sobriety...and the 'bad' doesn't feel any where near as bad as my days as a drunk addicted skin bag. Nope, not at all. Thanks for letting me share.

Thank you for sharing your news of sobriety. I was in the same position 7 years ago. I can relate I took care of my dying mom, being sober, loving her and holding her as she passed away. Spiritual!
When we come to realize that no matter what we do we have certain realities that we learn to accept. Bad things happen to good people and try as may the circle of life just keeps turning. Acceptance is the key. Greg
