In resonse to your question... of course it's not O.K. to rape a drunk girl. Rape is rape, but sounds like there's something more going on in your reply # 1

rape is NEVER ok period..has nothing to do with sex,being drunk or high..it has to do with a sick individual that is in need of power and control of someone weaker..and being drunk or high just makes victims to this type of predator easier to conjure or justify to themselves its their fault...NOT!

I'm truly sorry that you have had such an experience, but please realize that many of us can't really coment on something we have no knowledge of. This is an active forum and answers come quicker on this forum than most others on the site please be patient.
Rape in any form is always wrong. Taking advantage of someone that is excessively drunk is wrong. The victim is never at fault no matter how much they drank or drugged.
I would suggest you get some counseling immediately. I would also suggest that another drink will never solve your problem.

Hell, no, it's not okay! A girl who is drunk, or wearing a short skirt, or whatever -- hell, if she's dancing naked on the bar -- is NOT "asking for it" if she says NO.

And "I was too drunk to know what I was doing" is not an excuse for a guy to rape a girl. Maybe there's a connection between sexual assault and alcoholism, in that maybe a guy rapes a girl when he's drunk but wouldn't sober. But if he rapes, he's a rapist, whether drunk or sober.

No means No. If she says No, it's rape. If she's not in condition to say Yes, it's rape.

Whoever said that sexual assault & rape are just consequences of addictive behaviour is an idiot...and probably a rapist justifying his own sick behavior!!! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Rape is never ever ever deserved.

The ONLY connection that there may be between rape & alcoholism is that someone who is drunk is an easy target for a sadistic control freak bastard because their not in control of their faculties while intoxicated. PERIOD.

If this has happened to you and you feel that you asked for it because you were drunk, you need to call the police & a crisis line immediately. There is no such thing as "justifiable rape"!!!!

It is never okay to rape, rob, lay your hands on another person etc. This has happened to me, and I never gave myself any chance of avoiding this by being paraletic drunk. Yes, it was a consequence of my alcoholism, no it wasn't okay. mayday, if this has happened to you, I recommend counselling. You need to deal with it.

I think having trigger's is a cop out to do bad behavior. There is no such thing as a trigger and those that think that, watch them they will struggle with there sobriety. People do a sexual assault cause they are dangerous people and need to be locked up.It is never o.k. to commit a crime.

if i'm in no condition to verbally say yes or no, i don't care what anyone says, it's NOT ok and it IS rape, sexual assault, whatever you want to call it, but it's still wrong!! i, too, don't care if a girl is verbally flirting, wearing skimpy clothes, whatever. when it comes down to someone making a move and the person is either in no shape to say either way, or flat out says "no", then that's it. no is no. and what i love so much about the word "no" is that it's completely self-explanatory. you don't have to explain yourself or say why or justify the word "no" in any way. hopes this helps some.
