not sure if anyone here remembers me, but I wanted to share a little something with everyone... I am sorry for being so negative and rude towards everyone who tried to help me, that wasn't the man I am... so many good things have come about over the last year... I am over 1 year clean and sober now... I moved away from home to a small town... currently waiting for my auto-tech class to start this October, excited to get started... I want a career where I can make money and stop depending on the government to pay my way... also going to mental health therapy and ive been taking meds to help with my issues... so YES, things have got a lot better than the last time you all seen my post... 25 years of drugs and alcohol almost killed me... I am winning the war now...

Hi and welcome back! it's great to hear that you are doing well.
A year clean and sober is a huge accomplishment. So is getting help when you need it and lining up education for a new career.

Please stay active on our discussion board as it really helps to hear about others who are enjoying the sober lifestyle. People need to know there is a whole new and better world waiting out there when you get the alcohol addiction out of your life.

it wasn't easy for me at all, I am not going to sugar coat recovery because its not all rainbows and puppy dogs... BUT... if you can muster through all the frustration and pain in the end, you'll see a new day, a new life... patients is what we all must learn, in order to progress... sobriety doesn't happen overnight... remember this is a marathon, life long marathon, not a sprint...
