I remember once hearing someone say " Life is a series of agreeing and disagreeing with the universe". There is so truth in that statement, for I am only a small cog in the machinery of the universe. when I try to run things my way, I'll only expeirence frustration and a sense of failure. If , instead I learn to let go, sucess will assuredly be mine. Then I;ll have time to count my blessings., work on my shortcomings and live fully and richly in the Now. Do I believe what I am meant to know will come to my knowledge if I practice the Eleventh step- praying only for knowledge of God's will for me and the power to carry that out?

For me, to let go of the reins, and let the universe guide me, has been great but sometimes hard. I question if I am doing what the universe wants me to do. I pray, and meditate, but sometimes the answers are not there.

My sis in law says it is because I was given the answer and there is no response because I did not follow directions. Hmmmmmm

Pretty interesting stuff hah KK ....I always say open - minded ness in one ear and the other, how much more open can it be than that. But seriously folks I'm with KK on this in prayer, maybe to much contemplation and meditation I stay at least on a path somewhere, because of the discipline of wanting to receive guidance outside my self kinda....but its still a inside job.....

Yes Billy, beautiful reading. The 11th step is profound for me, more so this year than any other. I don't think there is any right or wrong way to pray. I even yell at God sometimes, I'm sure he expects it lol, but as with most things in my life, prayer has taken practice. Sometimes, I just pray.

The more I rehearse prayer though, the closer I feel to God. Step 11 guided me how to seek Gods will, not my own. How to pray that I can get through whatever is placed in my path. I cannot seek solutions, that would be to fulfill 'my will'. I just pray that I can find the strength and courage to see 'Gods will' through. One thing I have learned most in this past year, is God's will in my life isn't all about me.
