Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I relate so well with my 7yr GS......I volunteered to pick him up most days when he is in school. I go about 20 mins early...not only to visit with other Gparents doing the same thing but to see the children. I also count how many adults waiting are on their cell phone....just interesting LOL
His wonderment at new things does allow me to also. I find myself going over and asking to take him out. We go various places....pet store..grocery....and I ask him to "help" me read cause Nana can't see those little letters very well. I know...I tricky!!
Also I don't buy him anything...and he knows it because Nana doesn't have much money.....now months later ...he never ever throws a fit for me to get he something....He just wants to come with me.
Also sneaky...because he treats his parents differently on buying things.....Son just shakes his head at me and smiles. He knows the lesson I am slipping in!
My childhood stopped very early....I am blessed now to be able to be sober, happy and healthy enough to be part of this,
sry so long...really made me smile though!
