Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Nowadays I'm really starting to look a bit nutty!
Didn't get really bad for about 8 more years.... Even then everyone said I was jumping to conclusions. Yes, maybe in their eyes but they were doing the same. I was sinking and had to get honest.... My mom helped me see it. Husband and friends said, NO WAY. But they wanted to hold on to their party wife/friend.
I wasn't "insane" from my perspective at that time. I was trying to be proactive and knew my internal pain was coming to surface. Knew I would kill myself. That madness, neither I couldn't understand and nor anyone around me. I hid it very well.
Some of what you are saying I really don't understand but you are talking about how u feel. That's a good thing my friend.
Back then, I was in denial and didn't know that the first one led me to all the rest.....I was convinced it was drink 5 or 6 that got me drunk.
And only one beer around?
Planning and foresight are good qualities for the successful drunk to have.
Once you quit drinking, they aren't bad qualities either...
I would go "borrow" a bottle of wine or a mason jar full of vodka! ha! WHO does that? Who "borrows" a mason jar of vodka, not for a party or having a friend over, but to sit and drink alone, who does that???! Man, that's so weird....lol!
Sorry, I didn't think all of you really got my question.
OBVIOUSLY, I would lie cheat and steal to get more if I could, but IF you could not, would you drink the single ONE.
This is an interesting question, no? Drafter got it. I think Sherry and M8 got it....
But yes, I would drink it and then I would have to go to sleep and would try to sleep until the moment arrived where I could get more...
We just couldn't imagine coping in such a situation. Only one drink? The HORRORS! Unfathomable!
And yes, I would have had that last beer, and then tried to sleep. And if I couldn't sleep I would be climbing the walls. Literally.
