Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I've been sober a fairly long time and God willing next week it will be 29 years! I know I am far from being the perfect poster of recovery all the time. I will call someone out if they are full of BS and are just yanking everyone's chain! What got me sober was tough love and for a period I was fragile in my own way and I took some of it personal. See what I wasn't aware of was that sobriety is hard work and putting the plug in the jug was one of many small and yet big steps toward sobriety. I had to learn about time management, eating, sleeping and mental transformation. I am not cured nor do I claim to be; but I will say if those people want was others in recovery have then they have to make that choice and admit they are powerless.
So next time you need to come over and scold us on actions it might help if you know what is really going on! I believe treatment of people is clearly reflective on the level of honesty they provide.
