Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
After the fish had become accustomed to the smaller swimming area, the scientists removed the piece of glass that separated the tank. What happened? The fish stayed in half the tank. Having been conditioned to thinking that there was a barrier - or out of fear of hitting their heads - the fish would not wonder over into the other half of the tank.
Is it possible that this same kind of conditioning plays a part in our own behaviors? Are we afraid of things that may have been there at one time in our life, but are no longer there, except in our own minds?
It may be worth while investigating the conditioned barriers that keep us confined to a seemingly comfortable but constricted life.
