Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Prayers for their family on the way.
I watched "Micheal" yesterday w/ JT playing Micheal of course. It's one of my favorite movies. I recently saw JT on Opera sharing wonderful stories about his wife, Kelly & kids.
As she puts it, she had a huge crush on him when she was a teen - Welcome Back, Kotter days -
She always told herself she would marry him.
When they first met they were both married and went on their merry ways but at that time their marriages were on the rocks.
They both got divorced and ended up meeting again.
Fell in love and got married.
I'm watching Larry King Live.
Said it's called Kawaski disease.
I'm not sure about the spelling or anything.
I'm just using phonics.
They couldn't revive him this time.
My sister and her husband married at 16 and have been married for 28 years now and she has loved John Travolta since he was Vinnie Barbarino, they've always had a deal that John and Kellie Preston are the only 2 people they could cheat with. :)
Either which way, I'm sure the family is devasted and beyond console at this moment.
John is a good man - as far as I know.
I lost a cousin when she was 7. Stupid accident at a parking lot while she was running ahead of her mother.
I swear it is horrible to lose our youngins.
Prayers indeed to the Travolta/Preston family.
when the F can we as human beings accept God's handiwork just as it is without our needing to keep "trying" (through archaic means) to make every human in our own likeness? personally, anyone surviving without my quirks, kinks, and general confusion is a blessed soul in my book.
I'm sorry but I will never understand why any illness or defect is left untreated because it's not "accepted".
I choose not to recognize cancer. There, I said it. Does that make it not exist?
God made doctors to gain the knowledge that is necessary to treat disease and minimize suffering in my opinion.
Kawasaki disease is characterized by fevers and inflammation in the blood vessels that can be caused a number of inciting factors, including virus, bacteria or infection, CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta said on "Larry King Live."
"You get pretty sick for a few days. In the worst-case scenario, sometimes it can affect the blood vessels of the heart, called the coronary arteries," Gupta said. "Sometimes they can develop aneurysms in it. That's probably the most dangerous thing. But again, this is typically a disease associated with young children. It's typically in Japan, and it's pretty rare."
Gupta said it was rare for teens to display symptoms of the disease, which usually occurs in young children.
"Most of the patients are usually between 2 and 5 years old. Sometimes they get up to age 8. But it's very rare in fact for someone to be in their teens and still have symptoms of Kawasaki. They may have had it earlier in life, but to still have any manifestations of it is unusual," he said.
hmmmm...sounds like there's more to come on this story. I have never heard that he had an autistic son, but I don't usually follow that stuff. I do hope that it's not the case of his son having an illness left untreated because it's not recognized in his faith though. That would be very disappointing.
