Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
What step are you on?
Are you being treated for the mental health issue? If not that might be a place to start. Sobriety and the program are good for my anxiety, but I still need an antidepressant to properly manage it
AA is not a cure all nor was it designed to be. Don't be like I was. My psychologist had to threaten me with commitment to get me to agree to take an antidepressant. Don't know if that's what you need but you are too special to drop by the wayside. That much I do know. PM me anytime if I can help. Dianna
I believe in you. We all do. Hang in there, please!
over the course of my sobriety,I have been on many ups and downs.I have been thru depressions, rages and the like.7 family deaths,2 of which was suicides, without a place to live once, and a lot of other crap.
I have screwed up so many times it amazes me I am still sober.
As I look back,i see some common factors in my sobriety.
all that stuff I mentioned passed
I never took a drug or drink when it happened and lived sober thru it somehow
I did plenty of action, like get my butt to meetings
hang with sober AA`s
get commitments and followed up on them no matter how i felt
kept going back to the steps every now and then,I mean all of them
change and action was a constant most times and i wasn`t good at change or action
today it all paid off because i have a good happy life
in the early years,it had rough periods in it,but if we do not hang in there,we`ll miss the best
i fully believe the best is yet to come for you,but you`ll
never know unless you hang in there
