It's actually an anti-seizure medication that also doubles as a mood stabiliser.

Beware the side effects, the worst which is drowsiness, sluggishness but give them 2 weeks to wear off. If the peskiest ones don't subside, get with your md.

BTW, I've never taken Neurontin. I'm just a nurse who's got practical experience with it through patients. Anybody out there ever taken or is taking Neurontin?

neurontin was developed for nerve dammage and as far as I am aware it has not been prescribed for mood stablizers. Its developement came to help diabetes paitents with nerve pain.

this is a site that has its info on it. I had a accident in 2005 shattered my pelvis and sacrum and broke both my feet. I had massive nerve dammage due to accident Both feet felt like they were on fire at times so the dr prescribed nurotin then put me on lyrica which worked better.

I was prescribed Neurontin for pain. The rehab Doctor gave this drug with high praise. I was addicted to oxycotin and Dr said this was wonder drug and non addicting. I was taking large dose and it made me very sluggish. Did not stay on do to side effects

what's wrong with prayer? why is it that everyone needs something to get off of something? people kill me. who cares what neurotin is the question should be why are you going to take it. cold turkey...... fear will keep you hooked on something.....

Well CT, Many times many of us have a hard time in the beginning reaching out and trusting God. Especially when the cravings of alcohol are so strong that they leave us paralyzed and in a state of all kinds of mixed up emotions.

If we were able to do what we want to do, then we might not have to have AA either. This is cunning, POWERFUL and baffling. Remember?

Now, really, some people are not religious and are not interested in becoming religious, so I don't know how would that work for them.
