Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
The problem is that you do not know when you will take that next drink - you won't be deciding, your alcoholism will be and that is why it is suggested that you find a sponsor who can take you through the steps, quickly, so that you can be awakened to the power that will keep you sober for good.
Claire, you can do this-like bry says the devil will throw everything your way at some point most likely-it is not easy, but so worth it. xo
3 weeks is great keep it up.
The trouble with alcoholism it never gets better it only gets worse. It's a progressive disease. Recovery is also progressive and i use the word we but i mean I.
So we need to be doing something about how recovery on a daily basis. And you are of to a good start attending AA meetings and now a copy of the BB the book.
It was written by alcoholics for alcoholics it is also a text book and not a novel so it needs to be read and studied daily in the beginning and not read as a novel read once and then put on the book self.
When you get a sponsor they should be able to explain the book to you but until then if you have any questions just ask someone.
Keep it up.
God Bless...
Lionel
