Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I heard early on in recovery all the time, don't quit 5 minutes before the miracle happens and how true that was.
I'm like jumping on it and feel naughty.
Tell me that is not one kissable photo.
Tell me.
You're a big, fat, hairy liar if you say otherwise.
So there!
hmmmpt
Also i am a living breathing walking talking miracle. I have been near death 7 times. the last time the doctors told my family i had a ten percent chance. I'm still here solely through the grace of God.
I was vacationing with an ex-ass and his family. For a week. I was the only drinker. Imagine that...
His sister and her husband had this beautiful boy - Austin.
I was sitting on the floor. My bf was sitting in a chair next to me. Austin's parents were sitting on the couch. I was on the floor next to them also. They were talking to my bf's parents in the kitchen. This was a cabin-like situation.
Little Austin was playing on the floor a few feet away from me. I noticed that the living room table had extremely sharp edges. I mean I don't think I have ever seen a table that had such sharp edges and I was thinking that this baby is much too close to those edges. Right when I was thinking that he lost his balance ( while sitting! Just a baby) and fell backwords. His head was heading directly to the corner of the table. Even though I was so close and tried to reach him it was happening too fast. Like a blink of an eye.
The second I gasped his body was thrown forward. There is no way on this earth that a 10 month old has the body coordination to rectify falling backwords like that. I was in awe. I looked at his parents. They had no clue what just happened. They were talking to their parents. I looked up at my boyfriend and his eyes and mouth were wide open. Nobody ever said a word about it.
Driving back home days later, Dale and I were silent in the car for a long time. I mentioned that I think I witnessed a miracle.
He knew exactly what I was talking about and it was probably one of the few times we agreed on something.
It was amazing.
That's amazing!
I worked with this young gal who was recently married and they wanted kids right away. She got preggie pretty quickly but she also started going a cyst on her ovary. Within the early weeks of her pregnancy she was told she couldn't work and ordered to bed rest. They couldn't do anything about the cyst without hurting the baby. The cyst got larger and larger and larger. The size of a grapefruit. When the baby was big enough for it to survive outside of the womb, they had an operation scheduled to remove the cyst but hopefully, still be able to keep the baby in the womb.
On the very day of the scheduled operation, they did tests, and the cyst was gone. Gone.
Poof. Disappeared.
I LOVE hearing about miracles.
