Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I'd gone to a few meetings to meet other women who were sober but my idea of "getting out" isn't eating ice cream at Friendly's and rehashing drunkalogs from the meeting. I guess I just want to meet some people who just live life sans alcohol without bringing it up in conversation all the time. Does that make sense? I know different people have different levels of maintenance when it comes to not drinking but I don't want to have non-drinking friends whose sole interest is talking about sobriety.
