Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hi I'm starting over again. Its day 9 for me with no alcohol. I know I've been here many times before please don't have a go at me I'm trying. I think I've finally hit my rock bottom and know I can't continue on that drinking path. I tried AA before and don't want to do that again. I know I have to work through emotions and find things to keep me busy and be kind to myself. Hoping there's people out there and we can support each other.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It gets easier after 14 days. At that time the physical dependence is over. Then you have just the obsession to drink. That is where will power comes to play. Don't take the first drink.
You look backward and you will be destroyed. You look forward you will be distressed. You look around and you will be discouraged. But you look upward, you’re determined. Don’t let prayer be your last chance but your first choice!
Praying for you!
Alcohol is a drug and it is addictive. The only way that I have been able to be happy without booze is to work on me and how I view the things that happen to me. I just wasnt able to do it alone, I needed the help and guidance from others. But the reason I stayed in the bottle for so long was I was never able to ask for help, I was GD independent and able to do it myself... well that thinking got me drunk
Alcohol was not the problem it was the solution. When I removed the booze all I had was problems. I was like a raw cut and just unable to heal until I found a hospital that had the right antiseptic.
