Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Doggy took me off iggy!
LOL
There are some things that are different. My nose wich used to be reallly dry during the winter is not anymore. It runs when I eat. I get hot flashes I believe that they must have given me a female liver and my mother is getting revenge.
One other thing I not only got a liver I received 35 units of whole blood and 35 unots of plasma during the surgery also aanother 12 units in the weeks that followed.
The one thing that has happened is that I feel this incredible need, desire, almost compulsion to do something worthwhile with my life to make the procedure and the sacrifice of the donor worth it. If I don't do something great or honorable or helpful I feel like I will not of held up my end of the bargain. Don't know if that makes any sense. It's kind of like a debt I will never be able to repay.
I would feel the same way.
I'm a donor.
I would be most honored to donate to someone that could use any part of my body.
Probably skin.
My heart and liver would most likely be questionable....
As sad as it may be at present I'm a Mariners fan.
Some are sicker than others.
Before my transplant, I only preferred Cuban and maybe some really good Puerto Rican food and always loved Italian since I was raised in Little Italy in the Lower Est Side of NYC...
I also enjoy riding motorcycles more after my transplant than I did before and i'm harder than granite more often and definitely larger in the morning as a result also which my old lady is in total awe because I wasn't always this way, so she wonders if they did some free extra work on me when I was on the table, and I told her that the donor must have been a real stud!!! One of the best surprises of receiving the gift of life!!!
Yankees are playing tonight, and hopefully will be in the world series against the Phillies which oughta be a great series!!!
Respectfully,
Henry
Thanks for bringing this back up.
