Hi all. So I'm past my 6 1/2 year mark! Been clean for 15 years. I do a big garden every year and this year I'm growing two pot plants simply because I can. Legal in CT now and it's funny because I have no interest in smoking anymore more. Got it out of my system. I didn't use AA but am of the opinion that sobriety includes all substances. I assume that is the case with most people?Anyway, they are beautiful plants and fun to grow with the giant sunflowers:) Be well!

I hear you on not using it and for me it is legal here too....but being legal does not mean that the triggers inside my brain would not send a flood of desire to get high if or when I tried it again....for me I know one is too many and 1ooo is not enough.....

and it is not legal to sell the stuff you grew....it is only for your own consuming it......so even a pretty plant is going to get tossed in trash when season is over....unless you want to break a few laws and give it to someone else....

It's legal in Maine as well and now there are pot stores on every street corner. I have only tried it 3 or 4 times in my life and all it did was make me hungry. I was alarmed at not being able to experience the high that everyone else did, so I asked my doctor what's wrong with me and she told me my brain is just wired different then most so that was a relief.

Yes, congrats on 6 1/2 years!!! There are a few things I've never tried (illegal drugs, pot, tattoos, any body piercings, one night stands, etc.). However, I have been completely out of control with gambling and my last blackout was about 2 weeks ago. I'm back on the wagon after almost losing my shirt again. I pray my higher power keeps me and I can overcome any triggers. I was clean for almost 6 months then I went over the deep end

You can do this MelT! That’s a scary thing to have happen and hopefully it left an impression to remember. I’ve never gambled but I did a lot of carpentry at the Foxwoods casino and saw the dark side of it

26 years sober. After my 2nd spinal surgery, I was suicidal from pain. All my doctors know my history with alcohol. Three of them told me, cannabis is the safest pain medicine we have. It’s been a literal lifesaver.,
