If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hope this helps Anne!
I find it a fascinating statement. I think it is not just about more action like working with others. I don't know. For me, it is something with infinite layers of understanding. At one point I got even sort of frightened, God, is it possible that my faith in You can just die in my heart and soul? What could happen to my soul? Would die as well? Perhaps that's just me, a bit childish I guess.
Congratulation to you and God will help you to find a good topic and lead the discussion.
There are so many topics to choose from I am sure you will find a good one.
Good topics from others. Here's a few more:
The slogans (especially for newcomers)
Other medications (even over-the-counter)
Look in a meditation book for topic of the day.

Try going through the 24-hr a day book...that has cool ideas for topics through the thought, meditation and prayer of the day.
Good luck!
I love meetings. I love leading them too...when they are done:-)
But don't worry. Speak from the heart. Carry your own message of recovery.
I always love when people talk about gratitude. Such a wonderful topic. I also love when the topic is "how is your now" or how do you put sobriety first? That was one I especially appreciated as a newbie.
