What a cool woman. Unfortunately She guzzled Southern Comfort one too many times. Its a problem that has no mercy with the talented and the legends. The big H had its hook in her and that took her that one night in Hollywoods Landmark.

I love the music but it is somewhat eerie as to what could have been.

Seeing her Porshe in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland was one of the nicest things I have seen in a museum! I heard it is up for sale too! Its pschedellic paint job was awesome to look at! I could have spent hours looking at it and still been amazed! She left us in the 29club along with others from fame who died at 29yrs old! So sad! Too bad!

I didn't know Kris Kistopherson had been Janis lover until reading about him writing this song for her! Wow! Would I have wanted to be her lover? You betcha! However I probably would have followed her down the herion road and be just as dead today!

I'm re-reading "Alas, Babylon", a science fiction book from 1959. I read it years ago and it just popped up on Amazon for Kindle apps for $1.99. Like in my post about Janis, as I read the book I see the protagonist's relationship with alcohol. I never noticed that the first time I read the book.

My sister, a long time AA member used to see alcoholism in everyone's behavior. It really irritated me. Now I catch myself doing the same thing. Even though I don't express it to others, I still find it judgemental and I don't like it.
