Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
This silly season has everybody trying to the right thing, but it never turns out that way, being on the program for quite a few 24 hours, my first year was a disaster. Christmas meant drunk before anybody else got up, what am I saying, stayed drunk all night, then passed out about 7:00 in the morning, sure was fun, kids just stepped over me, and had a lot of fun HA.
Keep the faith, and do your best, ask for help as much as you need, and you'll get it.

I remeber my first Xmas sober, my son wanted a camera, so I bought the best one I could afford.
Of course his face hit the floor, it was not what he wanted, I felt bad, but what the hell he could change it.
Whatever we give, we give with the heart, big or small, if there not happy we have done our part.
Of course you need not give somebody the same as your children, give what you feel that you can and with what your happy.
It is not you that needs to learn here, but the recievor of your much loved gift.
To hell with her and enjoy your Xmas

what came up for me, when io read your post was that maybe you could engage a little more with the friend. Maybe she feels left out and that is why she gets angry...not getting enough attention. Try more eye contact with her...when things are talked about ask her what is her opinion...or would she like to get involved or help. Try something that uplifts her, that looks like she is special, and watch her shine. Depending on her level of anger it might take a while....invite her to make cookies with you...ask her her opinion, what kind she'd like, or how she would like to decorate or cut them out. Sometimes just a little attention and love is all it takes to uplift a moment...and don't forget a little loving kindness for yourself too!
Bright blessings, and good luck!
